Sasha Remix Competition Official Rules
These rules apply to the Sasha Remix Competition promoted by 36db Limited in partnership with Sasha and pointblank, with the winning release to be provided by Last Night On Earth. By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to these rules.
1. Promoter and partners
The promoter is 36db Limited, 7 Dials Club, 42 Earlham Street, London WC2H 9LA, United Kingdom. Company No: 13448185.
Sasha, pointblank and Last Night On Earth are competition partners and/or prize providers. They are not responsible for administering entries unless expressly stated in these rules.
2. Competition period
The competition opens at 8am BST on Monday 3rd August 2026.
Entries close at 23:59 BST on Sunday 13 September 2026 unless otherwise stated. Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted.
All references to time in these rules are to British Summer Time.
3. Eligibility
The competition is open worldwide except where participation is prohibited or restricted by applicable local law.
Entrants must be 18 or over.
Employees, officers, contractors and immediate family members of 36db, Sasha, pointblank, Last Night On Earth, the competition agencies and the judging panel may not enter.
Entrants must be legally able to enter the competition, accept the prize and, if selected as the winner, travel to the United Kingdom.
4. Eligible Sasha Environment access
Entrants must have obtained the Sasha Environment or Sasha Lite Edition through an authorised Shopify checkout. This includes paid full-edition orders, free Lite Edition orders and authorised pointblank student access.
The email address used for the competition submission must match the email address associated with the relevant Shopify checkout/order.
36db may request an order number or other reasonable evidence of eligible access.
For a collaborative entry, every person who accesses or uses the software must do so under a lawful licence or authorised access arrangement.
5. The creative brief
Create a new and original track using part or all of the Sasha Environment or Sasha Lite Edition.
Any tempo. Any genre.
We're not looking for another Sasha. We're looking for what you would make with the Sasha Environment.
Entrants may add their own sounds, recordings and instruments, provided they comply with the rights requirements below.
This is an original-track competition, not a stems-remix competition. Entries must not reproduce Neon Bloom, Low Orbit Cinema or Chrome Halo.
The submitted track must not have been previously released, commercially distributed or made publicly available.
6. Number of entries and collaborations
There is no limit on the number of entries an eligible entrant may submit. Every track must be entered separately with a complete submission package.
Collaborations are permitted. One collaborator must be nominated as the lead entrant and must provide the names and contact details of every collaborator.
Every collaborator must agree to these rules and must hold or control all rights in their contribution.
The studio places, course, catalogue and travel support are awarded only to the nominated lead entrant.
7. How to enter
Use Collect All and Save in Ableton Live so that the submitted project contains all required audio and project files.
Export one final stereo bounce of the track.
Place the complete Ableton project and final stereo bounce inside one ZIP file.
Name the ZIP ArtistName_TrackTitle_SashaCompetition.zip.
Upload the ZIP through the official 36db DISCO link at https://s.disco.ac/tqklftoqobhh.
Use Artist Name - Track Title as the DISCO Playlist Name.
Use the Message field to provide the entrant's legal name, artist name, country, Shopify order number if available and the names of every collaborator.
Wait for the on-screen confirmation and retain the confirmation email as proof of submission.
8. Originality and third-party rights
The entry must be the entrant's own new and original work.
Entrants must own or have obtained every licence, consent and permission required for all samples, loops, vocals, performances, compositions, recordings and other third-party material included in the entry.
Uncleared or unauthorised third-party material is prohibited.
Entrants must provide evidence of ownership or clearance if requested. An entry may be disqualified if satisfactory evidence is not provided.
9. Generative AI
Generative AI must not be used to create any material part of the submitted composition, arrangement, lyrics, vocal, instrumental performance or sound recording.
AI-assisted tools may be used solely for technical or corrective processes such as noise reduction, restoration, tuning, level matching or mastering, provided they do not generate new musical content.
Entrants must disclose their use of AI-assisted tools if requested.
10. Judging
This is a skill-based competition. The winner will not be selected randomly.
Eligible entries will be judged using the following criteria:
· Originality - the entrant's own creative identity.
· Musical idea - strength and impact.
· Development - arrangement and progression.
· Production - finish, balance and presentation.
· Use of the Environment - creative and innovative use of the Sasha Environment.
Judging is necessarily subjective. The judging panel will include at least one competent person who is demonstrably independent of 36db, Sasha, pointblank, Last Night On Earth, the campaign agencies and the entrants.
The full name of the independent judge or panel member will be recorded by 36db and made available on request.
11. The prize
Subject to final verification and these rules, the winning entry will receive:
· Release of the winning track through Sasha's Last Night On Earth label, subject to rights clearance, delivery requirements and a separate release agreement.
· A three-day writing camp with Sasha at pointblank's studios in London on dates agreed by the parties.
· A three-month pointblank course in London or online, subject to course availability and pointblank's normal enrolment requirements.
· The complete 36db catalogue, including the Artist Series.
· Reasonable, pre-approved economy travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses for the winner in connection with the pointblank studio prize.
Personal, incidental or unapproved expenditure will not be reimbursed. The winner is responsible for obtaining a valid passport, visa and any other travel permission. 36db will provide reasonable supporting documentation where required but cannot guarantee that a visa or travel permission will be granted.
The writing camp dates will be arranged around the reasonable availability of Sasha, pointblank and the winner. If Sasha's professional commitments require the dates to change, the parties will agree reasonable replacement dates.
The prize is personal to the winner, is not transferable and has no cash alternative, except where the promoter is legally required or reasonably needs to provide an equivalent substitute.
12. Winner notification and verification
The provisional winner will be contacted using the email address supplied with the entry.
Before the prize is confirmed, the provisional winner must provide any information reasonably required to verify eligibility, Environment access, collaborators, originality and rights clearance.
If the provisional winner is ineligible, cannot be contacted, fails to respond within the stated period or cannot provide the required evidence, the promoter may select the next highest-scoring eligible entry.
13. Ownership, competition licence and release agreement
Entrants retain copyright in their entries.
By entering, each entrant grants 36db and the competition partners a non-exclusive, royalty free licence to receive, store, copy and share the entry solely for competition administration, eligibility checks, judging and reasonable promotion of the competition and its results.
Entry does not automatically grant 36db or any partner the right to commercially release or distribute the track.
Any Last Night On Earth release or other commercial distribution requires a separate written agreement covering the recording, composition, collaborators, third-party material, metadata, accounting and royalties.
14. Publicity
36db may publish the winner's artist name, country and winning track and may identify shortlisted entrants where this is stated before publication.
Any photography, filming, interview or other publicity involving an entrant will be arranged reasonably and subject to applicable consent requirements.
No entrant is required to consent to unrelated marketing as a condition of entering.
15. Personal information
36db will use entrant information to administer the competition, verify eligibility, communicate with entrants, conduct judging, fulfil the prize and maintain an appropriate competition record.
Information may be shared with DISCO, the judging panel, Sasha, pointblank, Last Night On Earth and service providers only where reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Competition information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for administration, legal compliance, disputes and prize fulfilment.
Further information, on how 36db handles personal data, including your data protection rights including data rights and how to contact us, is available in the 36db Privacy Policy
16. Disqualification
36db may disqualify an entry that is late, incomplete, corrupted, inaccessible, misleading, infringing, abusive, generated contrary to the AI rule or otherwise contrary to these rules.
36db may request a replacement file to resolve a genuine technical problem where doing so would not give the entrant an unfair opportunity to alter the track after the closing time.
The promoter's eligibility and administration decisions are final, subject to applicable law.
17. Technical failure and events outside reasonable control
Entrants are responsible for allowing enough time to complete their upload before the closing time and for retaining their confirmation email.
36db is not responsible for internet, device, software or upload failures outside its reasonable control.
If unavoidable circumstances make it impossible to deliver part of the competition or prize as described, 36db will take reasonable steps to provide a fair and substantially equivalent solution without disadvantaging existing entrants.
18. Governing law and contact
These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply in an entrant's country of residence.
Questions about the competition should be sent to info@36db.live.
